Lawyer David Li presided over the Departure Ceremony of the First Term of the Overseas Legal Practice Program

On Nov. 18, 2022, the departure ceremony of the first term of "100 Chinese University Students Overseas Legal Practice Program" co-sponsored by Shanghai Landing Law Offices and East China University of Political Science and Law was held in Shanghai Landing Law Offices. More than ten leaders and representatives from East China University of Political Science and Law, Bureau of Justice of Hongkou District, Shanghai Lawyers Association, arbitration institutions and notary offices attended the event. The participants were Vice President of ECUPL Han Qiang, Director of Hongkou District Justice Bureau Wang Lin, Vice President of Shanghai Lawyers Association Pan Shuhong, President of School of International Law of ECUPL Du Tao, Global Director of Landing Law Liu Yixing, Executive Director Yin Jun, more than ten senior partners of Landing Law, and Student Li Siyi, Zhong Zheng, Fu Rongrong, Zhang Nan of East China University of Political Science and Law attended the ceremony. After the meeting, East China University of Political Science and Law hosted a session on the cultivation of foreign-related rule of law talents, and the participants made constructive suggestions and conversations.

As an initiator of the project team, David Li led the preparations for the ceremony, carefully arranged the meeting, and presided over the ceremony. The event was a great success and appreciated by all parties.

In 2021,  Landing Law Offices and East China University of Political Science and Law have entered into an agreement, pursuant to which the parties donate 1 million to sponsor 100 high-caliber students to serve as interns in law firms in countries along the Belt and Road over a period of several years. Four students were sent to Thailand in the first term.
